PREPARATION

1. What documents do I need to travel to Uganda?

You’ll need a valid passport, a visa (which can be obtained online or upon arrival), and any necessary vaccination certificates, particularly for yellow fever.

Pack lightweight clothing, sturdy walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and binoculars for wildlife viewing. Don’t forget your camera!
Familiarize yourself with the wildlife you may see and follow your guide’s instructions for safe interactions. Bring binoculars for a better viewing experience.
Uganda has a varied climate. Pack for both warm and cooler weather, especially if you plan to visit higher altitudes like the Rwenzori Mountains. Layers are key!
